Not an oldie, but who has details from this replica? I friend of mine took this photo in oktober near Kalmar.

That is the replica of a ship type kalled >"Kogg" Here name is Aluett and was built as a study project and then given to Kalmar.

It is possible to join Aluet and the people around here, during the summers to sail with here.
You may find here and more information at the customs harbour in swedish -> Tullhamnen.

STORESAND
Built 1945 by Stockton Construction Co, Stockton, to The Royal Navy as HMS LCG(M) 188 - landing craft. 341 tons displacement. 149.2' - 22.1' - 10.0'. 2 x 500 (1000) BHP Paxman Ricardo diesel engines, each 12 cyls, 4-stroke.
1947: sold to Werring & Sön AS, Kristiansund, NO. LCG(M) 188.
1947: sold to Nils Kittilsen, Brevik, NO. EIDANGERFJORD.
1949: rebuilt to cargo ship by Ekstrand mek Verksted, Brevik. 287 grt 141 nrt 450 tdw. 3 hatches.
1950, April: put in service for Skips- AS Storesand (Herlof Andersen; from 1951 Peder Aursland; from 1963 Yngvar Nilsen), Kristiansand, NO. STORESAND. C/s: LMEI.
1956: 2 x 220 (440) HP GM diesel engines, 2 x 6 cyls, 2-stroke, blt 1956.
1965, March: Partowners Storesand (Törres Vesterheim, Vedavågen), Kopervik, NO.
1967, Jan 27: aground in Gimsöystraumen en route Melbu - Stamsund with hering meal and salted fish (probably cod). Total loss.
Please note that Kristiansund and Kristiansand is not the same town!

Her name is Dana and was built by shipyard Boot in Leiderdorp, Holland.
I think she was built as an inland trading barge, but when and what is her history. Who has her history?

Thanks for the mails I received about the Dana. She was built in 1915 as the Dutch inland barge Zuid Nederland and after sold to Sweden she had regnr. 7947.
